Chromatic Scale for Bassoon
Two-octave chromatic scale for bassoon from A♯1 to A♯3, with sharps ascending, flats descending, fingerings and audio playback.
Practising the chromatic scale
Sharps are used going up and flats coming down — the convention that keeps each step on a new letter wherever possible. Aim for perfectly even fingers: practise slurred in groups of four, then in triplets, with a metronome starting around ♩ = 60 and raising the tempo only when every note is clean.
