Why scales are written per instrument
A concert band's “B♭ scale” is a written C scale for clarinet and trumpet, a G scale for alto saxophone and a C scale an octave higher for tenor sax. Every page here is in the key your part is written in, shows the concert key alongside, and plays back at concert pitch so it matches a piano or tuner.
Each page includes the scale ascending and descending, the tonic arpeggio, fingering diagrams under every note (clarinet, flute, saxophone and recorder), practice tips and downloadable MIDI and MusicXML files you can open in MuseScore.
